Amplitude modulation is method of transmitting analog signals, usually voice (intelligence) frequency on a high frequency carrier wave. Changing the modulation index varies the amplitude modulation. In this trainer has all the means to achieve this. This trainer consists of both transmitter and receiver. While the carrier wave is internally generated, the voice signal or output of sine generator is usually used as input signals for transmission purposes. This trainer has suitable microphone input, and signal conditioner. At the output it has an audio power amplifier and speaker to receive the demodulated signals. An optional 1 KHz function generator with 1 V PP amplitude, and a dual beam oscilloscope is immensely useful to view the waveforms at different stages of modulation and demodulation. |
