TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
This trainer comes with three components, namely, an SMA connectorised 850nm FO LED, a matching PIN photodiode and an SMA-connectorised two-meter optical fiber GI/multimode fiber patchcord, is well described in the instruction manual. Instruction manual describes the use of FO cable and the Video Transceiver Module (VTM) (supplied as an optional necessary to Kit) to transmit and receive video signals via the optical fiber medium. This trainer is supplied as a fully assembled and tested, single-sided glass epoxy printed circuit board. To make the system operational, an internal regulated dual power supply +5 Vdc to -5 Vdc is provided. VCR and an oscilloscope will be required to study the signals. Some components have been mounted to facilitate easy change, by the user, to achieve desired performances. A bandwidth of 8 MHz is provided.

Modulation Scheme : Direct Intensity
Modulation Bandwidth : 8 MHz
Input /Output Impedance : 50 or 75 ohms
Vin / Vout Levels : 1 Vp-p
Power Supply : VDC/500mA
Optical:
Wavelength : 850 nm

NOTE: T.V. Receiver and VCR are not part of the trainer.
Fiber Optics Video Transmitter:
The fiber optics video transmitter employs the direct intensity modulation method. The LED optical output is fairly linear over a region of the LED forward current. By employing a current feedback operational amplifier, a large bandwidth linear current driver for the LED is realized, covering the full range of the video signal.
Fiber Optics Video Receiver
The optical demodulator comprises a low-noise trans-impedance amplifier followed by a Wide band RF amplifier.
