| For determining maximum density of water, made of G.I. sheet cylinder 50mm diameter x 300mm height mounted on a base having two tubulators for thermometers, with a gallery of 60x150mm for placing mixture of ice & salt. The respective temperatures of water at the top & bottom of the inner cylindrical vessel are measured over a period as the water cools.
