IBM PC-ELECTRONIC DESIGN EXPERIMENTER PCEDE-1 is a prototype circuit design instrument. Prototype interface circuits, consisting of ICs, transistors, and other semiconductor components based on IBM computers can be assembled and tested on this breadboard design experimenter. This instrument is a mini PC-LABORATORY. This instrument has a) an add-on card, which occupies one ISA slot on the motherboard, and b) an interface instrument, which is connected to this add-on card. Many important interface signals of buffered Data bus, Address Bus, Control signals, additional I/O port signals of 8255 and timer 8253, jumper selectable clocks are brought out and placed on spring terminals. Using the above signals, one can develop interface circuits. Optionally, provision is made to insert surface mounted devices (SMDs) of different pin configurations, and can be connected to the circuit designer PCEDE-1 without soldering. Specifications: - Buffered Address bus from A0-A19 and buffered data bus from D0-D7,
- 24 additional I/O lines-PA, PB, PC ports,
- Access to three additional programmable timers with gate, clock, and output terminals available to the user.
- Four additional I/O decoded chip selection lines.
- Crystal controlled clock provides, fixed frequency of 5Mhz,is available on the spring terminal.
- Control: RESET, IOR, IOW, MER, MEW, ALE, AEN, CLK, IRQ7 lines.
- PC power supply of ±12VDC, ±5V DC, -5V DC are made available on spring terminals. A short circuit on these terminals will disable Computer from its functioning properly.
- More than 1400 solderless junction points.
- All terminals are spring loaded to connect upto 6 numbers using 22SWG single stranded wire.
- All spring terminals are plated and bright finished for better conductivity.
- System is mounted on an elegant cabinet.
NOTE: You must provide an IBM Computer or Compatible system. It must have at least one vacant ISA slot on the motherboard, to enable the ADD-ON card to be inserted, which will communicate with the trainer. |
